AGC of Michigan awarded a 2023 Construction Management – Build Michigan Award to BRINKER | Christman, A Joint Venture for the Book Tower project. We worked with ODA | Kraemer Design Group on this iconic project owned by Bedrock.
Built in phases in 1916 and 1926, Book Tower has been an iconic part of Detroit’s skyline for almost 100 years. After falling vacant in the early 2000s, Bedrock purchased the building in 2015 and commenced a 7-year, nearly $400M restoration. This project was one of the largest adaptive reuse projects in Michigan and it seamlessly blended history and luxury within its hotel, meeting space, offices, residential spaces, restaurant and more.
