Mercy Health
Transforming healthcare services for the West Michigan Lakeshore community, this project brought all acute care services offered at the Mercy, Hackley and General campuses to one facility for full consolidation, which included construction of a ten-story medical tower, renovation of existing hospital inpatient services, and creation of new outpatient radiology, birth center, and emergency department. The 269-bed facility features 238 single-occupancy rooms with flexibility of 31 rooms to be converted to semi-private rooms.
The upgraded facility offers state-of-the-art technology and treatment within a patient-centered place of rest and healing that enhances Mercy Health’s mission to be a transforming, healing presence within the communities it serves.
Working on a fully operational campus, the project was completed in phases to ensure minimal disruption to hospital activities. The project team met regularly with hospital administration to maintain clear communication about the progress of construction, and a project-specific safety program was implemented to promote a safety-first culture for all project team members.
