Hayes-Taylor Branch

The New Hayes-Taylor YMCA at Barber Park replaced the much-loved existing Hayes-Taylor YMCA in East Greensboro that had been built in 1939 and served the community faithfully for nearly 80 years.

The new two-story, 55,941 s.f. building is designed to be open and inviting. Its competition pool has special dehumidification systems and is adaptable for the YMCA’s many aquatic activities. It is also home to basketball and volleyball courts, two full fitness studios, wellness and weight-rooms, and a large, elevated walking/running track. In keeping with the YMCA’s family focus, there are four childcare watch areas for children of different age groups. Multipurpose teaching areas and a teaching kitchen provide community educational opportunities.
