Alamance Community College
This three-story, 34,000 s.f. academic building is home to laboratories and classroom space serving the biotechnology, medical laboratory technology, histotechnology, and agricultural biotechnology programs at Alamance Community College. Designed for maximum flexibility and future expansion, it has a modern design meant to become a landmark for the area with ample use of glass and natural light. The first floor features classrooms with soundproof partitioning, a research greenhouse and office spaces. The second floor is dedicated to laboratory space while the third floor is shelled out for future expansions.
The laboratories at the Biotechnology Center of Excellence are truly state-of-the-art, featuring advanced equipment and instrumentation to facilitate cutting-edge research and experimentation. Students have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, gaining valuable hands-on experience and developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
