East Brainerd Elementary School Reconstruction

Within just a few days of the storm, Christman stepped on site to support school officials in assessing damages and developing a plan for reconstruction. Within two weeks, the team had begun demolition in the inaccessible portions of the building.

The team was committed to meeting this project schedule, which involved night and weekend work, ultimately welcoming students and staff back to the building the first week of January 2021 as planned.

To streamline construction and ensure clear communication among all parties involved, Christman worked closely with the insurance company as well as its cost consultant and forensic accountants, in addition to the design team and consultants, the fire marshal, Hamilton County, and MBI for providing surveys. The team was also able to work with the original drawings of the building from 2013 to match all materials and construction from the original design.
