Jason actively fosters a positive safety culture on every project site, ensuring the consistent implementation of best safety practices by each team member. Jason leads the Christman Building Innovation Group (CBIG) in delivering improved safety solutions, technological advancements, and innovative practices for self-perform operations across the nation. Before joining CBIG in 2024, Jason spent ten years with Christman Constructors, Inc. (CCI) and previously served as a safety representative for The Christman Company. Jason brings extensive experience as a safety manager overseeing MIOSHA partnership projects.
Prior to his tenure at Christman, he held roles as a safety and environmental officer, managing health and safety practices, conducting environmental investigations, and providing employee training. His diverse experience spans brownfield redevelopment, historical preservation, superfund clean-up, military projects, and overseas work involving pipeline spill investigations. Jason actively contributes to safety councils with the American Society of Concrete Contractors and the Construction Association of Michigan. Additionally, he has held various licenses, including Professional Geologist, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, EPA AHERA Asbestos Inspector, and stormwater pollution and prevention inspector, HAZWOPER and is recognized as an authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer (OSHA 500). In addition, Jason is a Certified Safety Professional. Jason is a frequent contributor to industry trade publications. In 2020 Jason was honored to be named the Michigan Safety Conference Darryl C. Hill Safety Professional of the Year.
