Sam has become well known for his ability to listen effectively to the client, architect, and engineer to incorporate the design intent and vision of the client and convey ideas accurately to the project team. Sam has been in the construction industry for decades and has acquired a multi-faceted understanding of the industry along the way. Sam has a wide variety of successful project outcomes in his portfolio, including the Henry Ford Pistons Performance Center and Center for Athletic Medicine, Godfrey Hotel, Perennial Corktown Apartments, Lake Trust Credit Union Headquarters, Ralph C. Wilson Park, and Detroit Department of Transportation Coolidge Facility.

Sam joined Christman in 2004 as a project manager and became senior project manager of planning in 2008, project executive in 2014, and vice president in 2022. Sam recently served as Chairman of the Board for the Construction Association of Michigan (CAM). When Sam is not working, he enjoys all things outdoors and is known for his ATV adventures in West Virginia’s mountain ranges. When not on a trek to conquer ATV trails, he and his wife enjoy spending time with family and friends at their northern lake cottage.
