Steve leads the overall Christman organization at the executive level, including directing the company’s strategic planning and efforts around mergers and acquisition efforts. He has also been instrumental in creating and expanding Christman’s real estate development services and portfolio development. He joined Christman in 1985 as assistant controller and advanced to controller in 1986. He was soon named secretary and treasurer and appointed to the Board of Directors. Over the next ten years, he assumed more responsibility for company growth and construction operations.
In 1997, he was promoted to senior vice president. In 2000, Steve was elected president and chief executive officer of The Christman Company – the fifth president in the company’s 107-year history. When Steve is not running a business, he enjoys spending time with his family, fitness, and longing to fulfill his lifelong dream of rock guitarist superstardom (which is on hold while he leads Christman).
