Christman employees donated their time and talents in support of Vista Maria, one of our Be Constructive charity partners in southeast Michigan.

Sixteen team members donned work clothes, rolled up their sleeves, and completed a much-needed spring cleanup to help beautify their campus in Dearborn Heights. Others helped inventory, stock, and organize the Vista Boutique, a free, on-campus store for residents and their foster families to shop for clothes, shoes, personal products, toiletries, and accessories.

Both projects reinforce Vista Maria’s mission to ensure youth, women, and families feel safe, welcome, beautiful, and valued.

From its beginning in 1883 as a home for girls and women in need, Vista Maria has evolved to encompass residential mental health services, care for survivors of human trafficking, foster care and adoption services, and transitional and independent living for youth aging out of foster care. On its campus or in the community, all of Vista Maria’s programs emphasize mental and emotional well-being, family connections, education, career readiness, and advocacy for the welfare of children.

In addition to Christman’s volunteer day, team members donated clothing, products, and accessories as part of Christman’s holiday giving program.

“For a company that places so much value on our people, it’s rewarding to support Vista Maria knowing the impact we are having on those they serve right here in our community,” said Mary LeFevre, regional vice president, business development.
