Baylor Regional Medical Center Plano Acute Care Hospital

This acute care hospital incorporates high-tech design accents inside and out to give the facility a futuristic appearance. The building includes two operating rooms, four cardiac care suites, an urgent care center, medical/radiation oncology, a neurology area, and several patient and outpatient beds.

Architectural and engineering features include a drilled pier foundation, a basement level 20′ below grade, and an exterior glass curtain wall and window as well as brick and pre-cast concrete with the appearance of limestone. There is also a 12,000 s.f. utility plant constructed adjacent to the hospital to provide extra services, along with a sky bridge connecting the structure to the medical office tower.
