Capitol Theatre Restoration

Constructed in the late 1920s, the Flint Capitol Theatre was once a popular type of “movie palace” that offered a formal setting designed to transport patrons to an exotic European courtyard or garden with an Italian Renaissance motif. The three-story building includes tenant spaces on the first floor, office space on the second floor, and a vacant third floor. Added to the U.S. National Register List of Historic Places in 1985, this project focused on refurbishing and restoring various existing features and replicating others in order to transform the space into its original state.
