Front Entry and Cardiovascular Renovation

This project for Henry Ford Allegiance Health is a 28,902 SF renovation and 3,119 SF addition to the existing hospital’s campus in Jackson, MI. The addition consisted of entry canopies to the main entry and medical office building entry as well as an addition to the lobby space of the main entry. The new lobby included interior renovations to the waiting areas, coffee shop, registration, gift shop, retail pharmacy, and public toilet rooms.

The Cardiovascular Department was renovated to provide 15 total beds (11 new). Other updates included renovation to bronchoscopy, vascular, pulmonary function, scope processing, stress echo, echo, echo tee rooms, administration, and support functions. The extent of renovations included ceiling work, finishes updates, partition changes, equipment reconfiguration, and associated mechanical/electrical/plumbing/fire protection changes. Site enhancements at the main entrance included revised site access drive, parking configuration, and landscaping changes. A local artist was involved in developing multiple sculptures and artwork that was incorporated into the renovations and site enhancements. All of this work was done within an occupied healthcare campus with extensive pre-planning to avoid unnecessary impacts to the operations of Henry Ford Allegiance Health.
