Lansing Community College
Located in downtown Lansing, providing adequate parking has been an ongoing challenge for LCC. The new Gannon Ramp was critical to easing that strain for the campus. This precast parking deck boasts 1,775 parking spaces on five levels, including several EV charging stations, as well as dedicated bike parking areas, high-speed elevators and an elaborate space identification system that allows drivers to easily see where space are available in the ramp.
Christman worked with LCC and the design team to ensure the project met the college’s needs, even after community concerns caused them to change from two parking structures to one larger deck. Despite this and other challenges, the project was completed on budget and two weeks ahead of schedule, so the parking ramp was ready to welcome LCC students, faculty and staff before the start of the Fall 2022 semester.
