Replacement Hospital

With the goal of creating an innovative healthcare campus and transforming both the patient and team member experience, this project consolidated two existing Lansing hospital facilities into a new 562,000 s.f. hospital adjacent to Michigan State University. The McLaren Greater Lansing Replacement Hospital is a nine-story hospital nestled within a 39-acre, $601 million healthcare campus at Michigan State University’s Corporate Research Park, allowing the University and hospital to work closely together on research and educational programs.

The campus houses a 240-bed state-of-the-art hospital, cancer center, ambulatory care center, and other facilities to support healthcare delivery, educational opportunities, and medical research.

In May 2018, McLaren Health Care launched a community input survey to obtain feedback on the new hospital’s design, which allowed the public to offer suggestions regarding the design phase of the project. We were able to incorporate the suggestions and needs of the community in the design, and ultimately, the construction phase.
