In order to meet the unique and diverse needs of its students and community members, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro expanded its recreation and wellness opportunities to provide an improved place for its students and community members to reflect, play, grow, and explore.

Featuring the concepts of Universal Design, the building is usable to the greatest extent possible by everyone regardless of age or ability. It features enhanced capacity to accommodate high-demand activities such as cardiovascular fitness, group fitness, free weights, weight machines, and informal recreation. In addition to providing enhanced activity spaces, it serves as a gathering and event space for student organizations and learning space for academic classes.

Facility features include:
-Natatorium with two pools
-Multiple gyms for basketball, volleyball and badminton
-Multi-activity court
-Indoor running track
-Three multipurpose exercise rooms
-A 54-foot climbing wall
-Two racquetball courts
-10,000 s.f. of office space including conference and teaching rooms
-4,500 s.f. separate central utility building
