Well Spring Retirement Community

Resident Activities Center

Having experienced significant growth in its independent living population in recent years, Well-Spring Retirement Community was ready for an upgrade to its resident amenities. The result was a new performing arts center, dining facility, and renovations throughout the site.

An extraordinary component of this expansion was the 338-seat auditorium designed specifically for seniors. Instead of a typical flat-floor multipurpose room, Well-Spring wanted a space where all members of the audience would be able to see and hear as well as possible, and with the ambiance of a high-quality performing arts venue.

Another key part of the project involved re-envisioned dining services. Where before there was one traditional dining room with wait service, Well-Spring opted to add a bistro with an open kitchen and a market-stall service approach for casual dining.

Additionally, corridors and connections were opened up to facilitate flow and better accommodate a wide range of mobility in residents. A central open space became a comfortable landing spot with lounge and casual seating.
