This project for Xilis, a biotechnology company focused on cancer research and treatment, involved the complete renovation of an existing building to create state-of-the-art lab and clean room areas as well as offices, support services and shell space for a future tenant. To ensure success in these specialized facilities that will be used for critical research in the years to come, each lab is pressure verified with supply and exhaust valves and is only accessible through sterile corridors.
Working with a fast-tracked schedule, the team expertly managed lead time challenges that would have otherwise hindered the project timeline. A phasing plan was developed for critical areas, factoring in long lead items to ensure minimal delays. Ultimately, Xilis was able to begin operating in the clean rooms as early as possible while construction was wrapped up in other spaces.
